Original era manufacture. Norwegian capture K98 rifle stock which comes complete with the following; laminate wood stock and upper handguard, upper and lower barrel bands, bayonet lug, band spring, recoil bolt andcupped butt plate.The stock is sound, with good color and dark blue finish to the metal fittings. The serial number 5987 appears on both barrel bands, is penciled inside the stock channel, and is also penciled on the underside of the handguard.The bayonet lug, band springand butt plate are not serial numbered, although the butt plate displays the three letter code bpr.No dowel reinforcements, solid type upperbarrel band, no waffenamts on the stock face (don't think it ever had any) and overall is quite sound. Touch of light surface corrosion on the butt plate and upper barrel band.
