Original era manufacture. Late war M1942 pattern steel helmet with a lot number 1273, and maker/size marked EF66. The exterior of the helmet displays a dark steel patina finish with strong evidence of once having had a white overpaint for winter camouflage. This has been carefully removed by the original owner once the season changed, leaving an interesting camo-like finish on the helmet. Complete leather liner & drawstring, showing surface dryness, one of the fingers is torn at the base. Original and complete leather chinstrap.
