Original era manufacture. Rough texture, dark ordnance green painted shell, with most of the original finish remaining, with a dusting of light surface corrosion.Never had a decal, our Pal Judge Jim refers to these non-decal examples, as the pre-SS version, due to the practice by some of adding decals to these otherwise honest examples of WWII helmets.   The liner is pliable but presents are very dark appearance, none of the adjusting holes in the liner fingers have been pulled through, and the original adjusting string, while tattered..is present for duty.All three original liner rivets with their proper slotted washers are in place. Most of the original chinstrap remains, however about four inches from the long side have broken off. We have just received this solid example, along with the 6x30 binoculars we listed today, from our friend in Norway.
