Original era manufacture. A wonderful example of a captured helmet decorated with the names of the towns the GI traveled through during the war in Europe. The helmet appears to not have been cleaned or altered during the past 7 decades, old dirt and grime on the shell and a touch of surface corrosion on one side of the skirt. Of course a few obligatory drops of garage paint can be seen on the crown. Complete oilcloth liner with drawstring and an intact, original length leather chinstrap can be seen inside. This helmet looks as if it came out of the attic yesterday.
