Original period manufacture. A very interesting and well filled out Luftschutz-Dientsbuch issued to a man born in 1897. The information contained inside is very similar to that of a military Soldbuch, gasmask & helmet size, awards etc. There is an entry for service with a Luftschutz construction unit posted to Wehrkreis X in Hamburg in 1943. In 1941 he was awarded the Luftschutz Medal 2nd Class, the Iron Cross 2nd Class and in 1943 the War Service Cross 2nd Class with Swords. Normal handling and wear, no damage.
