Original era manufacture. Three piece construction Gladiator style steel helmet with its original decal as shown. Satin blue paint finish with all of the original rivets in place. Full length leather chinstrap which is broken on one side; a repairable break if backed with a thin piece of leather glued in place.Pigskin leather liner, none of the fingers have been pulled through, the adjusting string is missing.Original size and price decal on the inside of the neck skirt. Next to the decal is a rectangular section of bandage adhesive with a typed notation; "German Air Raid Wardens Helmet-Battle of Saarbrucken-February 1945".Overall the helmet is clean with scattered areas of surface corrosion to the shell exterior and edge.
