Original era manufacture. Standard pattern 1st model dagger with alloy fittings and a very clean blade by SMF. The blade measures 12 inches in length, with a nice overall finish, with a clear SMF logo on the base. Alloy guard and pommel with a good amount of the brass finish remaining on the swastikas. Original leather wrapped grip with twisted wire binding, the leather covering shows surface wear and scuffing in spots. Blue leather covered scabbard with alloy fittings and matching material alloy hanger with snap hook. There is wear to the leather on the upper edge of the scabbard, exposing the steel body beneath, which has toned to a nice patina. Frayed Luftwaffe knot wrapped around the base of the grip. Overall an attractive dagger with a very nice blade.
