Original era manufacture. Handsome looking dagger with a very nice vintage patina. Bright chrome finished blade which is unmarked, there are a few, very shallow nail catchers along the edges which are felt more than seen. Mellow silver patina to the crossguard, with none of the gilding remaining visible on the mobile swastika. Blue leather washer intact at the base of the blade. Sound leather wrapped grip with a few small chips or dings to its surface, tight twisted wire binding. The ferrule shows a brass patina and the pommel appears to be of zinc and is slightly loose. Sound original scabbard with full leather covering with a few tiny chips to its surface, the body shows some light bumping from handling and age. Silver patina to the scabbard fittings with all screws present. Engraved on one side of the upper fitting is L.K.S.Ga for Luftkriegsschule, no idea what the GA stands for. All in all a great looking old dagger.
