Original era manufacture. A clean example featuring nickel silvered fittings and a nice blade displaying a Luftwaffe property mark below the SMF trademark. The blade is in original polish, clean with a clear SMF logo and LW property proof number 5. The blade shows some light scattered surface scratching with a shallow nick in one side fo the cutting edge near the tip. The blue leather covered grip shows some light scattered surface scuffing, but the tight wire binding intact. The metal fittings show a pleasing mellow silver patina with all fitting screws present. A matching property number 70a is stamped into the lip of the scabbard throat and the underside of the guard. The scabbard leather is sound with just some light surface crazing to keep it honest. Overall a nice looking original dagger.
