Original era manufacture. Wartime production example with a dark gray zinc scabbard, aluminum guard and pommel and a dark yellow grip. The blade is quite clean with lots of crossgrain polish visible. The blade is tweaked slightly at its very tip but not broken. Traces of gilding remain on the pommel swastikas. We gave this guy a mild bath after our purchase and upon removing the grip we noticed a bit of the grip missing which is hidden behind the ferrul. Nice original aluminum knot showing minor wear and fraying to its cord.
