Original era manufacture. A very clean example featuring a bright and clean blade with a clear Eickhorn trademark on the ricasso. Dark orange grip with a single very tiny chip at the top of the grip on the reverse side. All of the aluminum binding is tight and sound. The gray steel scabbard has a small amount of very light surface rust on the sides but no pitting. The aluminum bands and carrying rings give a nice contrast. Original aluminum knot showing wear and use from over the years with fraying in spots with one of the cords broken but neatly tucked into the wrapping around the grip. Original cloth and metal hangers with wear on the surface of the straps but no major fraying or danger of tearing apart. Honest example from a famous maker, nice looking dagger overall.
