Original era manufacture. A very clean example featuring a bright and clean blade with a clear Eickhorn trademark on the ricasso. Dark yellow grip with no chips or cracks, all of its aluminum binding is tight and sound. The gray metal scabbard has a nice lustre to the suface, with one shallow dent on the reverse side about midway down its length. Sound original aluminum knot showing a spot of wear in the surface on the back side, otherwise nice and clean. A sound unmolested example which was brought home after the war by a GI who served on the staff of Stars & Stripes.
