Original era manufacture. A clean example with a bright blade, no corrosion issues or sharpening. Just some typical age spotting to the surface which should clean well if so desired. Cream colored grip with wire binding no cracks or chips. Steel scabbard with aluminum suspension ring bands. No makers mark on the blade. These daggers are notorious for having loose pommels, this one apparently suffered from this as well. However a clever previous owner placed a small copper ring inside the ferrule which acts as a spacer and keeps the pommel tight and properly aligned.
