Original era manufacture. German WWII stamped steel Luftwaffe enlisted buckle with 1941 dated tab. The buckle retains most of its original blue paint finish on both sides. The accompanying leather belt has been postwar modified by a young boy who received the set from his uncle in the 1940's. The belt has been reversed, worn brown-side out, shortened, and then fitted with six loops for small caliber ammunition, perhaps a 22.
