Original era manufacture. This wonderful WWII relic recently walked into a local antique shop, being sold apparently by family members tired of it sitting on a shelf. What we have is a WWII Luftwaffe Fliegertruppe enlisted visor hat, private purchase quality, and the original WWII handmade wood box it was shipped home in. The hat is not crushed or broken, with a metal eagle and wreath at front. Inside the sweat shield has disintegrated however the remainder of the liner and sweatband are sound. No moth issues to report, and overall it displays very well. Plywood box made to fit the contours of the hat, with labels on the top and front side, indicating the sender to be Lt. Les Snediker who sent the home to his family in Long Island New York.
