Original era artwork. Excellent quality portrait in colored pencil, depicting a Luftwaffe Flak Unteroffizier wearing a single button M43 hat. Signed at lower right by the Russian artist, dated 1943. There is a soot or smoke smudge just above the soldiers hat from heat or fire, bombing raid? Original wooden frame measures roughly 9.5x12.5 inches.
