Original era manufacture. Norwegian capture K98 rifle stock which comes complete with the following;hardwood stock and upper hand guard, upper and lower barrel bands, bayonet lug, band spring, recoil bolt andflat butt plate.The stock is sound, with good color and dark blue finish to the metal fittings. The serial number 937 appears in the stock channel,upper handguard,bayonet lug base, upper barrel band, and butt plate (struck-out & renumbered). The letter L, indicating Luftwaffe issue is faint, butvisible on the stock face, right side.The upper barrel band and recoil bolt display the waffenamt code of 63.The wood issound, no cracks or dowel reinforcements, however a previous owner began to sand the stock butt a bit, and the Norwegians felt the need to brand a serial number into the bottom of the stock, just behind the pistol grip.Still, a real Luftwaffe issue K98 stock.
