Original era manufacture. Norwegian capture K98 rifle stock which comes complete with the following;hardwood stock and upper handguard, upper and lower barrel bands, bayonet lug, band spring, recoil bolt andflat butt plate.The stock is sound, with good color and dark blue finish to the metal fittings. The serial number 2458 appears in the stock channel, bayonet lug base (58 only)and butt plate, the remaining components display a mix of numbers. The waffenamt code of 63 is visible on the bayonet lug base, recoil bolt, small size stock disc and the three eagle codes on the stock face. In addition, the letter L, indicating Luftwaffe issue is also visible on the stock face.No dowel reinforcement, some light surface corrosion on the butt plate, which of course has been renumbered.
