Original era manufacture. This is an interesting helmet, one we had originally purchased in an antique mall in Prescott Arizona about 6 or 7 years ago. Standard M1940 Luftwaffe steel helmet, size and maker marked inside the neckskirt EF62. The paint on this helmet is amazing, nearly 100% original finish, with a very rough combat texture on the exterior and a smooth texture on the interior. The exterior finish is so rough that the poor old original decal has had a difficult time adhering to the side of the helmet and has suffered some surface loss over the years. The liner is as pink and pliable as if it were made yesterday, however at some point in its life it's owner suffered a dramatic experience evidenced by the blood stained spot and leather loss in the left forward portion of the liner. No chinstrap, liner is size marked 56.
