Original era manufacture. A very sound, untouched example, of the classic WWII Luftwaffe M1942 steel helmet, maker and size marked NS62.Matt Luftwaffe gray/blue paint finish, with its original decal as shown. Complete, and original brown leather liner with drawstring, size marked 54, no breaks, tears or missing sections, just some scuffing and staining on the edge.All three, original to the helmet, rivets are in place, along with their slot washers. Pliable and complete, leather chinstrap with an aluminum adjusting buckle, with the letters E.E.K. stamped on the underside of the tip, and a faint date stamp.All in all, the helmet is as honest example that can be found today, it displays honest wear and use, and did not sit on a shelf during WWII.
