Original era manufacture. One of the souvenirs brought home by Cpl Roy Altenbach, Ordnance Section, US Army at the end of WWII. Standard WWII M1942 steel helmet in Luftwaffe livery, we can't make out the helmet shell size stamp but the liner is stamped 58. Sound original leather liner with adjusting string, all slot washers and rivets are in place, slightly shortened original leather chinstrap. The helmet has not been cleaned or improved upon and is exactly as we first saw it in his son's storage shed. Original decal as shown.
