German WWII Luftwaffe Medical Enlisted Visor Hat

Original period manufacture. An issue quality private purchase hat in Luftwaffe blue wool with dark blue wool piping. The hat is sound, not crushed or damaged, with the visor still securely sewn to the body of the hat. Aluminum eagle and wreath at front with a patent leather chinstrap below. The eagle is original but replaced, as the prongs piece the interior of the orange cotton lining. The sweatband is in poor condition, with several large sections missing. The liner is clean, displaying normal age and wear; the sweatshield has been removed. The wool body displays several spots of repaired mothing, which does not detract. Overall the hat presents quite well, representing one of the more difficult Luftwaffe waffenfarbe colors to find.
