Original era manufacture. This is a really clean example of the classic WWII Luftwaffe officers sword of WWII. Chromed steel blade measuring 26 inches in length with no issues, clear makers markings and Luftwaffe proof on the base of the blade. Alloy guard and pommel, blue leather covered grip bound with double strand twisted wire. Nice contrast between the silver patina pommel and brass swastika.Aluminum fitted leather covered scabbard with all mounting screws present. Minor marring to the leather surface towards the tip. It is the proper length for the scabbard, who knows when or why they became mixed. Blue leather carrier with an aluminum rectangular loop is intact and in good condition. Nice looking sword.
