Original era manufacture. Standard pattern Luftwaffe sword made by Weyersberg and with a Luftwaffe property stamp just above the makers logo on the blade. The 28 inch chromed steel blade is clean, runs straight and true with scattered nicks on both sides of the cutting edge. Aluminum pommel and ferrule with a nickel guard. Typical leather wrapped grip with aluminum wire binding, it shows some light surface scuffing to the leather but nothing terrible looking. Leather covered scabbard body with nickel fittings showing some light scattered scuffs and scrapes to the leather surface but again nothing terrible.  All scabbard screws are present. Stamped into the side of the upper scabbard fitting is Schl.88.
