Original period manufacture. Private purchase quality officers visor or a ribbed wool material, silver wire piping and a ribbed, black mohair cap band. Original silver wire eagle and wreath, however both have been added to the hat as stitching is visible on the hat's interior. Black oilcloth visor edge binding in good repair, no damage. Imitation gray silk lining with a few snags in it's surface, intact, clear sweatshield, thin brown leather sweatband with no damage. There is wear to the rear edge of the hat from mothing and the sweatband stitching is loose there as well. The top of the hat shows scattered, repaired snags and mothbites. The hat displays well and is not crushed or broken.
