Original era manufacture. Chromed steel 10 inch blade with bears an engraved inscription on each side of the blade. On the obverse the name of the individual, his date and city of birth (Basel Switzerland) and units of the Werneuchen Flight School. On the reverse is th salutation, Heart and Hand for the Fatherland, Jagdgeschwader 334, Wiesbaden-Erbenheim. The blade is clean, shows light scratching to it's surface with a small nick in the edge near the tip. Sound black plastic grips, plated alloy guard and pommel showing light surface grime and corrosion, lock button works properly. Dent free black painted steel scabbard retaining most of it's original finish. Brown leather bayonet frog with a green & silver NCO bayonet knot. The blade is slightly loose but that is the only flaw beyond normal age and wear.
