Original period manufacture. Luftwaffe blue wool M43 hat with original handsewn cloth insignia. Unusual single button front which is secured with a pebbled blue plastic button. Gray imitation silk lining with period markings including a 44 date and RB number. There is a curved leather partial sweatband at front showing wear and use but no damage. There is a metal ventilator in each side of the hat body, with some rust staining from them on the liner material. The hat shows soldier use and wear, minimal mothing, only a small snag in the cloth on the top right rear section.
