Original era manufacture. A very sound example ofa wartime produced stamped steel buckle. Most of the original paint remains intact on both the obverse and reverse of the buckle. Original sewn leather adjusting tab has stiffened from age but the makers name remains fairly clear with a very readable date of 1941. Some of the stitching on the tab is beginning to pull away but it remains solidly in place.
