Original era manufacture. An early pattern dagger with nickle fittings, maker marked blade and a brown anodized scabbard finish. The blade is full length, unsharpened but has been buffed to a bright shiney glow. The motto remains readable as does the makers logo, but over cleaned. The upper and lower guards have also received the attention of the buffing wheel but not as much as the blade. The district mark on the lower guard, SW, remains very clear. The wood grip shows typical wear, no missing pieces and a few very thin cracks. The scabbard body shows good color, and traces of the lacquer finish remain visible. Very slightly dented ball tip, the screws on the upper scabbard fitting are missing. Not the nicest example, but honest and real.
