Original period manufacture. Early quality, pre-RZM pattern dagger with nickel fittings and a brown finished scabbard body. The dagger comes with a very interesting vertical hanger with belt loop and another hanger which is attached to the suspension ring. The blade is very clean, lots of original crossgrain polish with a nice contrast motto to blade. Nice wood grips with a few very thin cracks in its surface near the upper guard. Both grip emblems are in place, no chipping to the enameled SA emblem. Most of the original finish remains on the scabbard body with a dusting of light surface corrosion from age. Shallow dent in the body, similar to the classic taxi-door dent on Navy daggers, just above the lower scabbard fitting. Extremely minor denting to the scabbard tip. All in all, this dagger has a great untouched look to it, never improved upon, just left as is to enjoy.
