Original era manufacture. An early quality dagger with nickel fittings, browned scabbard and a very lightly dented lower fitting ball. E. Bonsmann trademark which is quite clear.which has a 9 rarity rating on a scale of 10. The blade is clean and bright, no corrosion problems, just some typical runner wear to the surface, clear motto contrast, with lots of original cross grain polish visible. Nickel upper and lower guards, with a group mark on the reverse of the lower guard, P for Pommern. Alloy eagle and enameled SA disc. Very nice brown wood grip, displaying light wear and age, with a small square shaped chip on the obverse above the lower fitting. Dent-free steel body retaining most of it's original finish, all fitting screws are present. The brown leather hanger was on the dagger at the time of our purchase, sound, but showing surface dryness
