Original era manufacture. Later pattern dagger with plated fittings and a brown painted scabbard. The blade is very clean, original polish is visible with just some minor surface scratching and runner wear. A small style RZM proof bearing the Eickhorn code of M7/66 and showing the date of 1941 may be seen on the reverse of the blade. The wood grip is not chipped or cracked and both emblems are in place. The upper and lower crossguards are bright and clean with just a bit of bubbling to the upper one. The scabbard body is dent free, shows nearly all of its original painted surface with just a bit of marring below the upper scabbard fitting. All screws are present and the ball tip is not dented. There is a tiny bit of surface bubbling on the front of the upper scabbard fitting. Attached to the suspension ring by its snaphook is an original SA hanger. Most of the plating is missing from the snap but the leather remains pliable. Honest, original example of one of the most popular of the WWII Third Reich daggers.
