Original era manufacture. A very solid dagger with a polished steel blade with good cross graining remaining,with avery nice blade motto, and RZM 7/66 (Eickhorn)1940 maker mark. Attractive darkwooden grip retains both of its original emblems, and is free of cracks or chips, just some minor marring and bumping from handling over the years. Plated finish upper and lower guard, with some minor corrosion to the lower edge of the top fitting. Matching scabbard fittings, with about 90% of the factory brown paint finish remaining on the scabbard body, shallow surface dent on the reverse. Amazingly the ball tip is dent free.Original brown leather dagger strap displays age and wear, but remains unbroken.
