Original era manufacture. An early production M1933 SA enlisted dagger made by the firm of J.E.Dittert & Co. Neustadt. SA, a marking I cannot recall seeing before. The blade is very clean, nice motto contrast , lots of original cross grain polish with the typical runner marks from the scabbard. The edges have been lightly sharpened, which seemed to have been a "thing" with some SA units. Alloy fittings with the Sa (Sachsen) group marking on the reverse of the lower guard. Nice dark wood grip with a few very small cracks near the upper fitting, both emblems are intact and in good order. Matching erascabbard with alloy fittings, all screws are present, requisite dented ball tip. None of the original finish remains on the scabbard body and the suspension loop is missing. This SA enlisted dagger by Dittert was one of many souvenirs brought home to the US after the end of WWII by Corporal R.D.Easler, 3468th Ordnance Company, US Army.
