Original era manufacture. Classic German knapsack basically unchanged since 1885. Fur covered flap with an olive green cotton interior. Clear issue stamps inside along with the special pouch intended to carry the messkit. The original closure straps are present however the shoulder straps are replacements. Sound enough for gentle use.
