German WWII M1935 Army Double Decal Helmet, Q66

Original era manufacture. M1935 steel helmet. The shell is finished in a dark gray/green combat finish with a fairly strong Heer decal on the left side. On the right, an original tri-color decal is visible, this exhibits evidence of having the wartime overpaint finish removed by a previous owner. It would have been better to leave it as the German Army wanted it to be, but we collectors sure love those Army tri-color decals don't we.All three rivets are in place along with their slot washers. An original chinstrap is in place showing an old green overspray on the section which fits over the helmet visor.Original leather liner which shows wear and use, and a very clever old repair, done by sectioning two same-size helmet liners together. Really a lot of time and effort went into making this repair happen.
