Original era manufacture. Nearly all of the factory satin finish remains on the surface and interior of the shell. original eagle decal as shown, the tri-color exhibits considerable wear, likely attributed to the 1940 OKW order calling for its removal. Yet, enough of it remains to show this is an original double-decal helmet. Minor shallow denting on the top left side of the helmet from service use. The leather liner is intact, with three matching finish, early style helmet rivets, complete with their slot washers. None of the fingers of the liner are broken, missing only the adjusting string to complete.The original chinstrap is intact, pliable, but does show surface dryness and light flaking to the strap. A sound, honest example of an early WWII Luftwaffe helmet.
