Original era manufacture. The classic WWII German Army enlisted tunic, size about a 38 regular. Like the title of Adolf Galland's book, this pattern was worn from the first to the last, 1939-1945, with this example displaying honest soldier wear. Light colored feldgrau wool body with the correct, and complete partial lining in gray cotton. Four patch pleated pockets, with pointed flaps and bright aluminum pebbled buttons. Dark green wool collar with hand sewn, mouse-gray litzen, and machine sewn bright aluminum tresse. Tan pressed paper buttons on the inside of the collar. Early war style eagle of mouse grey BeVo pattern embroidery on dark green backing. This has been hand sewn to the tunic, with the upper edge of the eagle's wing left unsewn, so you can pull the eagle forward and see the shade difference of the wool behind the eagle itself. Slip-on, Transportation piped (light blue) NCO shoulder straps with Officer candidate tresse loops at the base of each strap. The tunic displays wear and use, with the bandage pouch removed, and some fraying and wear points to the lining. There are some thin spots and an old repair which has opened up in the sleeve near the left elbow. However, good news, I didn't notice any moth damage, rips, tears or ugly stains. The button holes display wear, but all in all, it is a very presentable example of a German enlisted tunic.Evidence of badge loops on the left upper pocket which have been sewn over and repaired. * PLEASE NOTE, the helmet shown in our photographs is not included with the tunic, we put it on to keep our soldier's head warm.
