Original era manufacture. A friend of ours was out shopping some local yardsales recently and came up with this lot, purchased from the son of a lady who served in Italy with the American Red Cross during WWII. Our friend was so excited with his find that he forgot to ask the lady's name. Still a nice grouping and everything came together. The lot includes the following;M1940 Heer steel helmet, the maker code and size stamp are lightly struck in the skirt of the helmet, however the liner is size marked 57. Original decal as shown. All slot washers are in place on the rivet prongs, nice, original leather chinstrap, supple leather liner, showing some mouse nibbling on several of the fingers. Classic WWII German Army helmet. BeVo embroidered Jager sleeve insignia which is sewn to a dark green backing material, uniform removed. Cotton embroidered Gebirgsjager sleeve insignia, normal wear. Cotton embroidered enlisted tunic eagle, uniform removed. Five reichspfennig Wehrmacht currency note. Frontpost surrender newspaper dated August 1944 and a Wehrmacht Ausweis A, to a soldier in a artillery unit.
