Original era manufacture. German WWII M1942 steel helmet shell which has been postwar converted into a grain scoop, or for other less pleasant uses. Heavy steel sleeve which has been crudely welded to the front of the helmet to secure the wooden handle. I have seen several of these over the years, all originating in areas in Eastern Europe. One example stands out in my mind, being a double decal M1935 SS stahlhelm!
