Original era manufacture. This helmet certainly has had an interesting past. Originally a German WWII M1942 maker marked NS64 steel helmet, then reissued by the Norwegian government post May 1945, repainted, re-decaled and fitted with an Italian liner, rivets and chinstrap. The original Norwegian green paint finish remains intact along with one original Norwegian decal on the right side, the left side Norwegian decal was removed and the surface cleaned down to reveal what appears to be an original Kriegsmarine decal. You can see the gold foil of the eagle under magnification.
