Original era manufacture. German WWII matching K98 bayonet and scabbard, 42fnj (Alexander Coppel) 8509d. Satin blue finish to the blade with some light surface corrosion remaining on the false edge behind the point, otherwise very clean. Mix of blue steel and surface corrosion patina on the guard, flash guard and pommel. Dark plum grips in good repair. Blue steel dent-free scabbard displaying scattered spotting of surface corrosion. Sound mounted pattern leather frog showing service wear and use, all stitching is sound, pommel strap is intact.
