Original era manufacture. German WWII matching K98 bayonet and scabbard, 43cqh 9448. Most of the blue finish remains on the blade with some runner wear to the surface, and a small touch of corrosion pitting at the point. Mix of blue steel and surface patina on the guard, flash guard and pommel, scattered denting to the flash guard. Dark red bakelite grips in good repair. Steel patina finish to the dent-free scabbard body. Mounted pattern leather frog showing service wear and use, with a tear above the opening for the scabbard stud. All stitching is sound, pommel strap is intact.
