Original era manufacture. German WWII matching K98 bayonet and scabbard, 44crs 6297e. Most of the blue finish remains on the blade. Mix of blue steel and surface patina on the guard, flash guard and pommel. Dark red bakelite grips in good repair. Steel patina finish to the dent-free scabbard body. Mounted pattern leather frog in nice condition. All stitching is sound, pommel strap is intact. Purchased from the son of the GI who brought it home from WWII.
