Original era manufacture. German WWII S84/98 bayonet produced by Coppel in 1940. Pre-war quality, with matching numbers blade to scabbard. Maker marked Coppel serial number 987d with a (19) 40 dated spine. No real corrosion issues to note, just a few scattered spots on the blade and scabbard body. Dark plum bakelite grips are sound with no issues. Blue and steel patina scabbard with a dent on the reverse. Throat screw is present. Clean bayonet.
