Original era manufacture. German WWII S84/98 bayonet produced by Jos Corts in 1939. Pre-war quality, with matching numbers blade to scabbard. Maker marked Jos Corts serial number 466a with a (19) 39 dated spine. Satin blue finish to the blade with no issues, mix of blue and steel patina on the guard and pommel, dark plum bakelite grips in good order. The scabbard is dent free showing a mix of blue and steel patina finish. The reverse of the spine shows evidence of a fairly severe case of surface corrosion, now cleaned. The throat screw is present, the blade is very, very nice.
