Original era manufacture. German WWII matching numbers K98 bayonet and scabbard. Maker marked Jos Corts serial number 4226 with a (19) 40 dated spine. No corrosion issues to note, but would say that the finish has been improved with an application of cold blue, this can be seen on the blade, guard, and pommel. Dark plum bakelite grips. Dent free scabbard showing a mix of steel patina and blue,  the throat screw is present.
