Original era manufacture. An honest WWII service used K98 bayonet which matches by serial number and maker, 42cof (Eickhorn), 9466. Mix ofsteel patina and blue finish to the blade, theedge is unsharpened and the tip is nicely pointed. Dark steel patina finish to the guard, pommel, with dark plum bakelite grips.The blue steel scabbard displays some very light scattered surface denting, no real corrosion issues, and the throat screw is present.
