Original era manufacture. An honest WWII service used K98 bayonet which matches by serial number and maker, 40 agv, 271e.Most of the original blue finish remains to the blade, the edge is unsharpened and no corrosion issues; the tip is very slightly blunted. Clean steel patina finish to the guard, pommel, with damage free, dark plum bakelite grips.The blue steel scabbard is dent-free, with some very light scattered surface corrosion, the scabbard throat screw is present.
