Original era manufacture. An honest WWII service used K98 bayonet which matches by serial number and maker. Eickhorn 427d and 1939.Overall steel patina finish, the blade edge is unsharpened and the tip is nicely pointed. Dark steel patina finish to the guard, pommel and dent-free steel scabbard.Dark plum bakelite grips show service use but no cracks or chips, the scabbard throat screw is present.
